In addition to any statutory consumer rights that may apply, Universe Books offers a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee on eligible purchases.

How Refund Requests Are Reviewed
Each request is assessed individually.
We may review relevant order information, including payment status, delivery records, product access, and the details provided in your request.
If your refund is approved, it will be returned to the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless another method is expressly agreed where legally permitted.
Once Universe Books initiates the refund, the time required for the funds to appear in your account will depend on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
Digital Products That Are Faulty or Not as Described
Our voluntary 30-day guarantee is separate from your statutory rights.
Under UK consumer law, paid digital content must meet applicable standards, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for an agreed purpose, and consistent with its description.
If digital content does not meet these requirements, legal remedies may apply. Depending on the circumstances, these can include repair or replacement, a price reduction, or a refund.
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Immediate Access to Digital Content
Universe Books may provide access to digital products shortly after payment is confirmed.
UK rules contain specific requirements for digital downloads supplied during the usual cancellation period. Where applicable, customers must agree to immediate access and acknowledge that beginning the download or supply can affect their statutory right to cancel.
These rules do not remove statutory remedies where the digital content is faulty, misdescribed, or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal standards.
Refund Timing
Where a customer is legally entitled to a refund for qualifying digital content, UK legislation requires the refund to be made without undue delay and, in applicable circumstances, within 14 days from the date the trader agrees that the customer is entitled to it. The refund must generally be made using the same payment method, unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise.
Our voluntary 30-day guarantee does not reduce those statutory protections.
Abuse of the Refund Process
Universe Books reserves the right to investigate refund requests where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, repeated misuse, duplicate claims, or unauthorised redistribution of purchased content.
Any decision made under this section will remain subject to rights that cannot legally be restricted.
